I'm participating in Hoist For Hospice 2024.
This unique fundraising event will elevate me to new heights, to raise funds for Fitzroy Community Hospice. I am being hoisted 8-12 metres up in the air inside the work box of a crane on Friday 19 April, and to come down I need to raise a minimum of $5,000. The event will take place at CocoBrew Express Rockhampton on the corner of Albert and George Streets.
This uplifting FUNdraising event will bolster the provision of palliative care and support services in Central Queensland. As a local charity, all funds raised for Fitzroy Community Hospice will stay locally and will benefit our local community.

Hi Pinky. I feel sorry for you and don't want you to have to go up in the hoist - so here's a grand to get you closer to your target! My mother-in-law spent her last weeks in palliative care in the Mater Hospital, and we were just lucky there was a place available for her and she had private health insurance. My 91yr old mother is in a nursing home and may need to go down that track one day too, hopefully not. I do have a request though - you have been to my farm before to see the mini donkeys and cattle. Well, now we have Valais Blacknose Sheep - so we will need you to come out and play with them after lambing at the end of April or Mid June - we have two lamb drops this year! Good luck for tomorrow and we look forward to welcoming you back to the farm soon.
